Finding games…
Educational games use play to explore maths and counting, reading and spelling, languages, science, geography and logic. Formats include quizzes, matching tasks, word challenges and problems that ask players to compare, calculate or recognise patterns. Choose a topic and difficulty suited to the player, then use the game as an activity alongside lessons or independent practice. Instructions, feedback and progression differ between games; adaptive difficulty is not a feature guaranteed by this category. The aim is to find an engaging way to spend time with a subject, without treating a game result as a measure of learning.
