Editorial Process

Every game on Nub Games starts as an entry in the Yandex Games catalogue, ingested daily by our sync orchestrator. After import, an OpenRouter-backed AI scorer assigns each game a relevance grade from A through D against our niche — obby, parkour, tycoon, simulator, nubik adventures and adjacent kid-friendly genres. Editorial then overrides AI grades by hand wherever taste disagrees with the model — a kid-friendly platformer mis-graded D because of an unusual thumbnail, a tycoon mis-bucketed as casual.

  • Daily catalogue sync. New games appear within 24 hours of being added to the upstream catalogue.
  • Quarterly content review. The full hub-page set is re-walked every three months for stale tags, broken iframes, and updated relevance grades.
  • Manual D-grade exclusion. Games scoring D on the relevance grader are excluded from the homepage and discovery rails (still reachable via direct link).
  • Mandatory IAP labelling. In-app purchases are surfaced in a visible badge on every game card and detail page, sourced from the upstream catalogue plus manual overrides.
  • Age rating display. Where the upstream provides an age rating, we render it on the card and the game page, never just on the upstream’s own pages.

Editorial Standards

  • No paid placements. No publisher pays us to feature a game, push a tag, or boost a ranking. The only ordering signals are our relevance grade and real catalogue MAU rank.
  • No affiliate links. We don’t take affiliate revenue from game publishers. The play iframe sits at the upstream URL untouched.
  • No fake reviews or engagement. We do not synthesise testimonials, comments, ratings, or play counts. Visible counts on tag and category pages reflect actual database rows.
  • No AI-generated bylines. Bylines link to a real editor profile.
  • Sandboxed iframes only. Every game runs in a sandboxed iframe; we don’t ask for or collect personal data to play.

Corrections Policy

Spotted an error? Email maxdev@appyapp.org. We respond within 5 business days, fix factual errors within 30 days, and apply corrections in place — we don’t quietly delete posts and pretend the original version never existed. Substantive edits are reflected in the article’s “Last updated” date on the blog.
