Tower defense is one of those genres that looks deceptively simple from the outside. Place a few turrets on the map, watch enemies wander down a path, click upgrade. Half an hour later you're hunched over the screen muttering about ice towers needing two more range upgrades or that splash damage really should have come earlier in the wave. The fundamental loop hasn't changed much since the early flash days, and that's the point — when the math is this satisfying, you don't redesign it. What you'll find here ranges across the whole spectrum the genre has grown into. Classic single-path defenders where every tower placement is a permanent commitment. Multi-lane maps that force you to think about coverage zones. Stickman-style war games where you summon waves of your own units against an opposing castle. Roguelite TD where each run reshuffles the towers you have access to. Some lean hard into the strategy, asking you to read enemy types, plan upgrade orders, and balance economy against firepower. Others are pure dopamine — kill the bloons, pop the bloons, keep popping the bloons. The best part of browser tower defense is how naturally it fits short sessions. A wave takes a minute. A whole map takes ten or fifteen. You can stop after any wave and pick it up later, or you can start a new map on a whim because your first defense fell apart on wave 23. Every tower defense game on nub.games is free, runs straight in your browser, and needs no download or install.
